My name is LEILANI CARR and I’m a professional headshot and lifestyle Photographer! I became a photographer through pursuing my love of musical theatre. Through meeting other photographers in the theatre world I eventually discovered I had a passion for capturing people's true self! I purchased my first camera in 2018 and I've been fortunate enough to capture all kinds of beautiful people along the way!
MY MISSION
As a performer I know how stressful it can be to find an affordable photographer that can make you feel at ease and capture your best self. A lot of people never feel as if their headshots look like them or that they dont convey the exact expression they were hoping to. It’s my personal mission to make every one of my clients feel comfortable enough to be their best selves in front of the camera so you can get exactly what youre looking for.
I also have a strong belief that people of color and members of the LGBTQIA community are deserving of having professional photos taken where they see themselves and are captured by another person from their community!
Shoots should be fun and you should love the photos that you’re using to get work and feel as if they look like your beautiful self! I always encourage people to bring their best jams to rock out to while shooting! Photoshoots can be very anxiety inducing and a time when we can judge ourselves the most. I want to take the fear away.

FAQs
Where are you?
I am located in Brooklyn, NY! I have a studio in Brooklyn but I am always very open to traveling around the city for a fun adventure shoot!
Outdoor or indoor?
Both! I typically take headshots in studio but I am also happy to roam around finding the perfect backdrop for you out in the world!
How does payment work?
I accept venmo, cash app, and PayPal! I ask my clients to pay anytime before or the day of our shoot.
What do I wear?
I send each of my clients a helpful tip guide so they feel 100% prepared for our shoot! You should mainly wear anything that feels the most you! Anything that’s going to make you feel good and be confident is something to bring along. I’ve listed my headshot guide below for some more helpful tips: Click here for helpful headshot guide!
Do I need to book a make up artist?
If you trust your own make up skills and are mainly worried about catching those random strands of hair and knowing when to regrows, I got you covered! Fun fact: I use to compete in pageants. We always made sure to check each other for exposed bra straps, out of place hair, and runny make up before we hit the stage. It’s now something I also check for during shoots so you never have to worry about if you look okay! I also keep a mirror nearby for quick touch ups and so you can se yourself during the shoot. I’m also known to show the photos I’m excited about so if you see something you don’t like in the shot we can change it!
Can I look at the photos during the shoot?
I love making my clients feel at ease and I’m happy to show you the back of my camera. These photos are for you and showing them during the shoot usually sparks new ideas and makes clients come out of their shell when they see a photo they’re excited about.

- Unlimited looks (Know that due to time and resources we might only be able to shoot 2-5 looks but feel free to bring lots of options or contact me before your shoot to pick out your favorites!)
- 90 minutes (2 hours if outdoor for travel)

Deluxe Headshot Package - $600

- Unlimited looks
- 3 Hours (3.5 hours if outdoor for travel)
- 8 edited photos
*$30 each per retouched photo after the initial 8
Lifestyle Package - $300
- Studio or Outdoor
- Unlimited looks (Know that due to time and resources we might only be able to shoot 2-5 looks but feel free to bring lots of options or contact me before your shoot to pick out your favorites!)
